Hello! My name is Michael Thompson. I'm a university student currently studying Film & TV at UAL. This website is designed to demonstrate my skills as a cinematographer, a role in film that I am extremely passionate about. Ace of Hearts (2021)

This was my first university project, and so my first proper time being a DOP. I learnt a lot from this experience, and though it definitely isn't my best work, I believe it demonstrates how far I have come in my craft.

ILMV (2023)

Though this film hasn't been released yet, I've added it to document my experience. I worked on this project outside of university on a 3 day shoot. This was the biggest project I had worked on at the time and I'm pleased with the result.

Ukraine: War and Faith (2022)

I acted as the second unit DOP on this documentary, along with being the sole editor/colourist. We had a quick turn around for this film, only having a week to edit days of footage. I learnt a lot making this film and met lots of great people!
